Kindness is Magic.

Just wanted to pop in and say that last weekend the weather was lovely (70s!!!) and even though it’s back to 90+, I’m happy because I’m busy getting my health sorted, scarves woven, and this show watched:

Derek on Netflix. Truly one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long, long while. I can’t stop thinking about it and getting a teary-eyed with happiness. I don’t know why Ricky Gervais has such a negative rap surrounding him when it comes to comedy. I don’t associate him with vulgar or crude humor the way I do with Russell Brand (who I also love when he is doing anything but stand-up). Maybe it’s because Gervais made fun of celebrities and is an atheist? I don’t know. But he seems to be a fine, talented human being full of joy and a true love of the physical world.

Ricky Gervais is an incredible ambassador for secular humanists everywhere.

Check out Derek when you get a chance, especially if you’re in need of some soul-healing art.

Oh, and if you’re in need of a good read, please, please, please find yourself a copy of The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. It’s a masterpiece. Might even be better than American Gods.

I hope wherever you are is sunny and/or cool.
